Topic 1. Food - Countable
and Uncountable Nouns (sustantivos contables e incontables) El vocabulario de
las comidas contiene palabras las cuales podemos categorizar en contables e
incontables; es decir, mientras los contables se pueden contar y a su
vez se dividen en singular y plural como las frutas, vegetales etc. Los
incontables no, como: el arroz, la azúcar etc. Sin embargo, podemos usar
medidas o contenedores para expresar su cantidad. Ver el siguiente ejemplo.

hay en el refrigerador?) En
esta sección aprenderás como hablar o manifestar que algo existe o que lo hay
en cierto lugar, nuestro lugar en este caso será tu refrigerador o nevera. Lee
y comprende el cuadro con detenimiento.
La
forma negativa para there is es there isn´t , mientras la forma
negativa de There are es there aren´t. Ahora,
además de la estructura anterior, tendrás en cuenta a los quantifiers
(some - any) estos nos sirven para expresar cantidades cuando no nos
interesa saber el número o la cantidad exacta de lo que hay, lee el cuadro
con detenimiento y luego realiza la actividad evaluativa del tema 2.
Topic 3: Healthy food
habits: hábitos de comida saludable. Debajo
encontraras The food pyramide, allí veras como se clasifica la comida
y cual de ellas son las más saludables. También
encontraras una descripción de ellas. Vegetables: a usually
herbaceous plant (such as the cabbage, bean, or potato) grown for an edible
part that is usually eaten as part of a meal. Fruits: they are an
excellent source of essential vitamins and
minerals, and they are high in fiber. Fruits also provide a wide range of
health-boosting antioxidants, including
flavonoids. Dairy
products: milk and any of
the foods made from milk, including butter, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, and condensed
and dried milk. Fats
and sugars: they are an essential part of our diet and nutrition, they contain a
concentrated source of energy for our body.
Proteins: they are crucial
to good health. Besides, it fuels our cells and powers our bodies. Grains: Cereal grains
are the world's single biggest source of food energy. The three most commonly
consumed types are wheat, rice and corn.
