Tiempos
simples versus tiempos progresivos
I.
presente
simple versus presente progresivo
para pasar de un tiempo
presente simple a un presente progresivo, basta agregarle al presente simple
el verbo
BE en presente (am-re-is) y al verbo se le
agrega ING cuya terminación es ANDO – ENDO.
ejemplos.
1. Ellas compran computadoras al pasarla a progresivo quedará… ellas están comprando cpmputadoras.
they buy computers
they are buying computers.
2. Usted duerme en un sofá. Al pasarla a progresivo quedará usted está durmiendo en un sofá.
you sleep on
a sofa
you are sleeping on a sofa

TIEMPO
PASADO SIMPLE VERSUS PASADO PREGESIVO
En el pasado simple,
se utiliza el tiempo pasado del verbo bien sea regular o irregular tal como
lo hicimos en la
guía 2.

para el tiempo pasado
progresivo, se le agrega al pasado simple el verbo BE (was – were) y al otro
verbo se
le agrega ING.
Ejemplo:
ella comió pan. Al pasarla al pasado progresivo me queda… ella estuvo comiendo pan

las rases que están
en presente simple, se utilizan los auxiliares DO o DOES y las que están en pasado simple
se utiliza el
auxiliar DID. Las que están en un tiempo progresivo el auxiliar será el que
aparezca am – are – is
– was -were.
Recordemos que para
las preguntas el auxiliar se coloca de primero. Ejemplos:

TIEMPO FUTURO SIMPLE VERSUS TIEMPO FUTIORO
PROGRESIVO
El tiempo futuro simple se forma anteponiéndole el
auxiliar WILL al verbo. Will go, will
study, will sing,
will come
etcétera. Así:
+ she will go.
He will paint. + we
will deny. + you will write.
El tiempo
futuro progresivo se forma colocando WILL BE después del pronombre y
agregándole ING al verbo que me
dieron. Así:
+ I will be studying. +
they will be praying. + you will be leaving.
